Husker fans can help restore walk-on program

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -- Nebraska football fans can buy tickets for a luncheon to help coach Bo Pelini restore the team's walk-on program.
The first of three Walk-On Club Luncheons is Sept. 18 in Lincoln. Athletic director Tom Osborne is the keynote speaker and Mike Tranmer, a former Nebraska walk-on, will also speak.
Tickets are $25 each and must be reserved by Sept. 15. For information, call 1-800-8BIGRED or visit Huskers.com.
