Gimme a break

Out of 3,500 oil platforms in the Texas Gulf area, Ike destroys 10 of them, and gas goes to $5 a gallon. That translates into .0028 percent of the platforms destroyed. We can thank our lucky stars it was not a hundred destroyed or gas could have gone to $50 a gallon. Gimme a break!

When gas prices took a big jump to over $4/gal market analysis blamed it on high crude oil prices. Now that the bubble has burst and crude oil prices are in a free fall yet the gas prices at the pump only trickle down now market analysis say pump prices have very little to do with crude oil prices and now blame high pump prices on our nations refining capacity.
My point is they ALWAYS have an EXCUSE for high gas prices. "
