Sounds like 'old Chicago-style politics'

SAC CITY, Iowa -- The average hospital administrator in Iowa probably makes less than $100,000 per year. When I heard that Michelle Obama received a $317,000 salary from the University of Chicago in “community relations," I immediately wondered about the time relationships between her exceptionally large salary and her husband’s political career.
Here is what I found out:
Her husband was a member of the Illinois State Senate from 1997 until 2004. She was hired by the University of Chicago in 2002 in “community relations."
In 2005, her husband was elected to the U.S. Senate, and shortly thereafter her salary jumped nearly $200,000 to its present amount, from $122,000 to $317,000.
In 2007, Obama earmarked $1,000,000 for the University of Chicago.
For those of us looking for a “change” from old Chicago-style politics, this is not welcome news. -- David R. Youberg

For God's sake people both parties just embraced the trillion dollar bailout with OUR currency! A new trillion dollars in debt in one week! We now have over $10 trillion in debt. It was the debt that got us into trouble in the first place! HELLO!?!? The dollar is worth nothing!
Where is the bailout money going to come from? Print, print, print and that paper is backed by what? Tony and Vinny? Watch next week as the world takes steps to move away from the dollar. Be afraid of terrorists?! The dollar is the new terrorist! "

" Keith I would bet that with all of your wisdom on the Internet you could even land a fighter jet on a moving Aircraft Carrier.
I don't proclaim myself as an "expert" on the internet. As for properly operating a fighter jet, I seem to share that inability with your candidate. That neither qualifies or disqualifies either of us for the Presidency. The difference is that I am not running. Is America so committed to it's warrior nation status now that McCain's preoccupation with military solutions to every problem is viewed as a prerequisite? I surely hope not. When viewed in combination with his legendary temper it makes for a scary possibility. "
