Briar Cliff welcomes new staff

Briar Cliff University announces the addition of the following new staff members.

Kathi Droegmiller, business office assistant, holds an associate of arts in business administration from WITCC. Prior to coming to Briar Cliff, Droegmiller was an office manager at Brower Dental Health in LeMars, Iowa.

Jodi Gray, marketing and communications coordinator, holds a bachelor of arts in journalism and advertising from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Prior to joining BCU, Gray was a senior designer at Blue Earth Marketing, Ho-Chunk Inc. in Winnebago, Neb.

Ann Hoeppner, director of annual fund, holds a bachelor of science in organizational communications from Arizona State University at Tempe. Prior to Briar Cliff, Hoeppner managed Electronic Engineering. She also served as systems director for Drake University's institutional advancement department.

Kyle Langhoff, assistant football coach, holds a master of arts in education from Central Methodist University at Fayette, Mo. Langhoff has a Bachelor of Arts in history from Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Ill. Prior to joining Briar Cliff, Langhoff was co-defensive coordinator and defensive line coach at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo.

Amy Meister, director of alumni relations, holds a bachelor of arts in communications and business administration from Mid-America Nazarene University in Olathe, Kan. Prior to BCU, Meister was director of Head Start/Early Head Start at Mid-Sioux Opportunity in Sioux City.

Kari Nelson, graphic design coordinator, holds a bachelor of arts in graphic design and communications from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa. Prior to joining Briar Cliff, Nelson was a graphic designer at Artisan Press in Sioux City. Previously, she was a graphic designer at Gateway in North Sioux City.

Brandon Osborn, admissions counselor and mass media adjunct assistant, holds a bachelor of arts in mass communication from Briar Cliff University. Prior to joining Briar Cliff, Osborn was a sales consultant and marketing coordinator at Eldridge Enterprises of Iowa in Sioux City. While a student at Briar Cliff, he was the general manager for BCU’s radio and television stations and an announcer and statistician for BCU’s sports information department.

Tasha Pointer, administrative assistant for continuing education, was an administrative assistant for the City of Sioux City prior to joining Briar Cliff University.

Sheila Reidy, campus ministry and instructor, holds a master of arts in social justice from Loyola University in Chicago. Reidy has a Bachelor of Arts in English from Indiana University at Bloomington. Prior to Briar Cliff, she was an intern for leadership and educational resources at Interfaith Youth Core in Chicago. She also taught English and language arts at Marian High School in Mishawaka, Ind.

Michelle Schaper, head women’s softball coach/instructor health, education and physical education, holds a master of arts in education in athletics/activities administration from William Woods University in Fulton, Mo. Schaper has a Bachelor of Science in athletic training and sports management from William Woods University. Prior to Briar Cliff, Schaper was the head softball coach at North Callaway High School in Kingdom City, Mo., and a softball graduate assistant coach at William Woods University.

Christine Schroeder, assistant women's basketball coach and liberal arts instructor, holds a master of arts in human relations from the University of Oklahoma at Norman. Schroeder has a bachelor of arts in psychology and education from Briar Cliff. Prior to BCU, Schroeder was a Family Center Provider for Healthy Homes LLC and an adjunct instructor at Kaplan University in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and at Briar Cliff.

Carla Shreve, admissions assistant and applicant specialist, served more than 15 years in multiple departments, including major accounts, at Gateway, Inc. in North Sioux City, S.D., prior to joining Briar Cliff.

Dale Walker, bookstore manager, holds a bachelor of science in business administration from Truman State University at Kirksville, Mo. Prior to coming to BCU, Walker was the director of auxiliary services at Southeastern Community College in West Burlington, Iowa.

Floyd Webb, director of multicultural and leadership programs and assistant football coach, holds a master of science in health, physical education and recreation from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Webb has a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from Westmar College. Prior to joining BCU, Webb was an assistant football coach at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.

Kathy Weber, library technician and circulation supervisor, holds a bachelor of arts in business administration from Briar Cliff. Previously, Weber was administrative assistant to BCU's vice president for institutional advancement. Prior to coming to Briar Cliff, Weber was a secretary and bookkeeper at Church of the Nativity in Sioux City.

Laurie Westrich, administrative assistant to the vice president for institutional advancement, previously was an administrative assistant at MidAmerican Energy in Sioux City.
