Josh Reed takes lead in Briar Cliff invitational

DAKOTA DUNES, S.D. -- Josh Reed of Buena Vista holds the lead after the opening round of the two-day Briar Cliff men's golf fall invitational held at Dakota Dunes Country Club Monday.
Reed shot an impressive 37-35--72 to open a one-stroke lead over a trio of players.
Jared Rempel of Dordt, Justin Zebolsky of Midland Lutheran and Chris Wolak of Briar Cliff were each at 73 after the opening 18-holes.
Tuesday's final round will begin at 8:30 a.m. at Green Valley Golf Course.
Dordt holds the team lead after firing a 316, six strokes better than Wayne State who stands at 322.
Briar Cliff 'B' and Morningside sit tied for third with 326.
Wayne State's Adam Fields, a Bishop Heelan graduate, is among three at 76.
