Aren't they one and the same?

Posted: Sunday, September 28, 2008
Aren't the majority of those asking for and accepting government money to bail out their corporations the same ones who encourage self-sufficiency?

" jon your second post down is dead on correct, both parties got us into this mess as you pointed out. Neither have a clue how to start fixing it. The bailout is not going to stop severe consequences. Like Kucinich asked, where is Plan B? Where is plan C?

They lamented over one bill, couldn't help partisan BS and left us only one bad option in the end. Both parties should have listen to Ron Paul a little closer instead of treating him like a leper. Instead they listened to Greenspan and Bernanke both who have been wrong for as long as I can remember.

The short of what saw is this "Hey you were both wrong all these years.. you need $700 billion you say to fix your screw ups? Um well OK."

DUH! "

" If you think Obama got where he was just because of affirmative action, then you know nothing about him. I always hesitate to pull the race card, but since you already pulled it out with your bigoted racist comment about Obama's worthlessness, I'll go there.

Guess what, there are brilliant, intelligent people of all races. Now, I won't say Obama's the most amazingly intelligent person in the world, that would be a lie. However, I think that his eloquence in speeches he actually did write himself alone is enough to give you a clue that he didn't get a free ride, and even if he did, he took all the stops and made sure that when he got off, he had taken full advantage of it. " Some of these asinine comments on this board are right. The liberals sure did want to help poor people live the American dream and stupidly thought these loans would be a good idea.

But guess what...it's the conservatives and republican pundits who supported it, not to give more people opportunity, but to increase their profits, greedily milk the deregulated system for all it was worth and make money off the backs of those who can least afford it.

Both are wrong. "

" The votes you refer to are all votes that allow the Bush tax cuts to expire. Why would we want that? Because most of the cut came to the upper income brackets, not to people in the 42K range. Obama's tax plan calls for taxes lower than even the current taxes on lower income people. "

" Yes, I agree. It's clear that Steve cannot come up with some original point.

Steve, is Obama really going to raise taxes MORE than McCain?

Is McCain REALLY going to tax your employer supplied health insurance? Maybe you don't understand what this means. You may pay $300+ a month for your health insurance, however, your emplyer is putting in a hundred, two hundred bucks or so. That extra that your employer pays for you, will be TAXABLE under McCain.

Oh NO! It's not the corporations getting taxed under McCain, it's the families!! Trickle down your own leg, I'm not buying it! "
