" No one has ever proposed that privitizing Social Security be mandatory, it was proposed as an option for the citizen to make the decision. Social Security is a Sound Program, but zealous congressman who are pork barrel legislators are draining the system dry and it was not ever intended to be a program to support wild spending programs. In addition, it was never intended to be a legal football by obtaining Social Security Benifits for trumped up or fake injuries or disease. "

" Harold I'm very sad to report your social security is already dead you just don't know it yet. The GAO has warned for years the entitlement programs are not sustainable. Go to gao.gov see the reports. Further everyones IRA's and 401k's are all wrapped up in that falling anvil called the stock market.

They're literally more mutual funds than public companies today. By 2016 you are required by law to start taking payments so uncle Sam can get their tax dollars. Problem is we are now on an direct IV to hyperinflation, those retirement dollars are going to be near worthless between a falling stock market and expansion of the dollar.

The largest stock market crash in history will come when the baby boomers panic and pull their dwindling retirement out of Wall Street. Boomers caused the recession of 70's when they entered the work force, they will crash it it when they retire which is starting to happen now. I wish I had better news for all of us. "

You partisan windbag! What about the increase in the minimum wage and every other government program that ALWAYS gets more taxpayer funding (a "cut" never really is one, it's just a slow-down in the rate of growth)?

You are proof positive that the Gimmes of this world will never be satisfied; it will never be enough.

Get off your duff, quit whining, further your education if you need to, start your own business (there are government programs to help you with those last two!), and START TO PRODUCE, not suck the life out of this country. "

" Thats a good question and with this Bail-out going through, i think we should ask that same question in a few months to come. But I'm afraid,i know the answer to that then. Question then should be, Can we hold those who voted for this responsible for high treason in this country? "
