Rosebud man admits running over child

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- A Rosebud man has acknowledged that he drove drunk and ran over a child who was younger than 7 years old.
Thirty-nine-year-old Ramon Good Buffalo pleaded guilty in federal court in Pierre to assault resulting in substantial bodily injury.
The maximum punishment is five years in prison and a fine.
According to court documents, he was driving under the influence of alcohol on June 28 in a residential area on the Rosebud Indian Reservation when he ran over the child.
The victim's name, gender, age and injuries were not included in court documents.
