Concord Coalition plans Siouxland stop

SIOUX CITY -- The Concord Coalition a nonpartisan, grassroots organization that focuses on achieving a balanced federal budget and fiscal restaint, will hold a town-hall meeting from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday in the Large Lecture Hall, Room D103, at Western Iowa Tech Community College.

The discussion, free and open to the public, will feature Sara Imhof, the Concord Coalition's Midwest regional director.

Local sponors include: Dakota Valley Business Council, League of Women Voters, Siouxland Chamber of Commerce, South Sioux City Chamber of Commerce and Taxpayers Research Council.

Former U.S. Sen. Warren Rudman, R-N.H., and Bob Kerrey, D-Neb., serve as Concord's co-chairmen, and former Secretary of Commerce Peter Peterson is the president.
