Man, 57, indicted in Yankton triple murder case

YANKTON, S.D. (AP) -- A grand jury at Yankton has indicted Ernest Tupper on three counts of murder and five other felonies.
The 57-year-old is charged in the Sept. 26 shooting deaths of three people at a Yankton apartment complex.
He was arrested shortly after the shootings and is being held on $1 million bail.
The indictment also charges Tupper with four counts of commission of a felony while armed and one count of aggravated assault. The assault charge alleges that Tupper threatened a fourth person with a deadly weapon on the same day as the shootings.
Killed were Chassidy Bamsey, Robert Riibe and Brian Vanwagner, all in their 20s.
