Assign blame to Democrats

Posted: Saturday, October 11, 2008
SALIX, Iowa -- As the so-called "credit crisis" unfolds here in the U.S., it seems that many are confused about what happened, how we got to this place, and who to trust.

Currently, Barack Obama and his fellow liberals are (as usual) attempting to assign the blame entirely on the current administration and all things conservative. The evidence to the contrary is overwhelming. Democrats are truly to blame, beginning with the 1977 Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) instituted under President Carter, followed by significant and irrefutable pressure from President Bill Clinton to further relax credit standards for mortgages and personal loans, culminating with the involvement of ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now), the organization that Obama cut his teeth with.

As early as 2003, both President George W. Bush and Sen. McCain publicly warned of the dangers of the now-exploding credit paralysis, but legislation intended to increase accountability to the credit apparatus was defeated on partisan lines - Republicans uniformly in support, and Democrats uniformly opposed.

I recognize that citizens of this great country are frustrated, angry, and insistent that a broken system be fixed and soon, but let's not jump out of the frying pan into the fire by electing someone who has extensively participated in the very things that got us into this debacle in the first place.

Barack Obama has compiled a laundry list of accomplishments that should give you pause, including direct involvement in ACORN as they subverted the credit system in his own state of Illinois. -- Kevin Alons

" Kevin you don't know how we got to this place either. It started with all the debt that was created to fund the Vietnam War in the form of price inflation. In Aug of 71 Nixon reversed his position as a staunch believer in the free market system and instituted price controls for 90 days and took us off the 40% Gold exchange standard turning our currency and all others pegged to the dollar into FIAT eln' print-n-magic currency.

Understand all FIAT currencies throughout history have died, ALL OF THEM. Only pure one for one gold standards passed the test of time.

Both parties are full of it, democrats overtly tax us, republicans stealth tax us. Every dollar printed is a debt to the American tax payers, it's mathematically impossible to pay off the national debt because every dollar ever printed is a loan with interest. They just dropped interest rates 3/4 point. The system is designed to rob the average tax payer of their money and transfer it to the wealthiest behind the FED, that dastardly deed started in 1913. Would you like the red pill or the blue one? "
