Questions about McCain, Palin
Posted: Sunday, October 12, 2008
SCHALLER, Iowa --Why can't voters look at issues instead of celebrity and gender? So what, Sarah Palin's a woman, but does she actually have the qualities to lead our country? She wants to change Washington, when in truth what does she know about big Washington?
We have a person giving a great speech at a convention, with people ignoring the truth within the speech and not addressing the big issues of our troubled nation. Now on the campaign trail she says drill, drill, drill. That's what she knows and it's another push for McCain/Bush policies. Some change.
She has to travel along with her sidekick John McCain because she may stumble on some tough issues thrown at her. The Republicans don't want her to go in front of the media because she may stumble.
Another big issue for voters to look at is a 72-year-old man with questionable health issues and a 44-year-old soccer mom half a step away from running our country. With no knowledge of Washington, our nation's troubled economy and, above all, our foreign relations.
At least on the Obama/Biden ticket we are getting the knowledge and experience of big government issues, our economy woes and, above all, foreign relations. A vice president is no longer a socialite person, but someone who actually assists our president and I do believe Obama will turn to Biden for his expertise in matters of big concerns. -- Lois Syndergaard

Donald R. Diamond, an 80-year-old real estate developer, lobbyist and top fundraiser for McCain's presidential campaign, bought the Fort Ord land for $250,000, though it was valued at $7.2 million, according to Pentagon appraisals made three years before the sale. He held on to the parcel for a little more than two years before selling it and the buildings on it for an estimated profit of more than $18 million. "

You might try asking Obama Central for new talking points. The old ones are wearing thin. "

You and the rest of your blinded-by-the-light friends should start thinking about how all of America is going to pay for Obamas $1,000,000,000,000.00 in new spending proposals. Hes too busy making lofty socialist promises to buy votes, and never gets around to how he plans to pay for them. Eloquence is no substitute for record. Wise up. "
