SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- Jury selection starts Tuesday in Sioux Falls at the trial of a rap artist charged with killing another man in a parking lot during a petty argument that got out of hand.

Twenty-three-year-old Titus Dansby plans to argue self defense for the March slaying of 24-year-old Cedric Hall.

Dansby is charged with alternate counts of first-degree murder and first-degree manslaughter. He's also charged with aggravated assault for reportedly pointing a gun at Hall's brother.

The Minnehaha County state's attorney says jury selection will likely take two or three days.

A defense lawyer earlier said Dansby's history as a rap artist could make it more difficult to pick an impartial jury.
