Clerk lays out deadlines for voting in Dakota County

DAKOTA CITY -- Today is the last day to register to vote in Nebraska if you plan to mark a ballot in the Nov. 4 General Election.
County Clerks throughout the state will keep their offices open until 6 p.m. today for voter registration. Those who arrive at the Dakota County Courthouse after 4:30 p.m. should use the north door.
Other dates and deadlines to know:
Wednesday, 4.p.m. -- County clerks must have early voter ballots in the mail by 4 p.m.
Nov. 3 -- last day to vote early in the county clerk's office.
Nov. 4, Election Day -- the latest a voter can assign an agent to personally pick up his or her ballot. The ballot must be returned to the County Clerk's Office by 8 p.m.
