Word of God is voting priority

Posted: Tuesday, October 28, 2008
SIOUX CITY -- As a Christian, I hold what God says in the Bible as truth. What God says in the Bible guides me in everything I do, including casting a vote for a political party. But as a Christian, why would I vote for the Democratic Party, which as a matter of record, votes for the legality of partial-birth abortion, a 12-year-old girl can have an abortion without her parents' knowledge, embryos can be killed for medical experiments, only evolution can be taught in school, the Lord’s Prayer cannot be posted on public property, a prayer cannot be given at a graduation ceremony, pornography is unrestricted, and homosexuals can marry when the Bible clearly states that homosexuality is debauchery? The Democratic Party has voted all this into law. Does this sound like what God wants?

My vote determines which candidates get into office and therefore I affect which laws get passed. A vote for candidate based on the economy, how money is spent, union endorsement, or how to tax the wealthy is a vote based on money values, not Biblical values. I may not agree with everything the Republican Party stands for, but what God says is my voting priority!

In the upcoming election, I will look at the candidate/party’s voting history in determining my vote, and I will not disassociate my vote from God’s teachings. -- Randy Ohl

" Yes, I agree with you. Standing up for our Christian values and voting for those who uphold those values is our right. Others who do not agree may belittle us, but we will continue to speak up for the unborn and against practices that are harmful to our culture and evil. Thank you for speaking the truth. "

" Wars, Bush and Cheney wars, kill.

These wars kill, maim, uproot, and demoralize thousands upon thousands.

And some of you nutcrackers worry about abortion. Worry about wars.

And, where the hell have your enhanced adoption, foster care, and social service programs been hiding to let the unwed mothers know there is real help available without humiliation. "

" Well I regard Abe and George's word far above yours. Mr,Vegas or Pariah I should say. Or is it Diogenes, you comment about how Christianity does nothing for you. So forget about it. Get the papers, the papers. "

" Grammatrain I've read the new testament many, many times. I've never felt any love flowing from those pages and there is no pull, little voice, urge, emptiness, little bird, or otherwise suggesting I'm missing out. "

" The founding presidents including Abraham Lincoln had many famouse quotes concerning the bible as being the most important book in the world.
Goofyguy!
Without the bible the USA is a desert that has gone dry. We need His love to keep us alive.
I owe not to any man remember that. For all the world holds dear I count as loss. "
