'Anti-American,' 'anti family'

Posted: Friday, October 31, 2008
SIOUX CITY -- Some comparisons have been made between John McCain's relationship to Rev. John Hagee and Barack Obama and his pastor of around 20 years, Rev. Wright. The suggestion is McCain's connection with Rev. Hagee is no better than Obama's, because Rev. Hagee allegedly "labeled Catholicism 'the great whore' and an 'apostate church.'" More recently, Sarah Palin's own faith has been unreasonably attacked for the sake of Barack's ongoing need for a media diversion from the true nature of his alleged "Christian" influences.

For the record, John Hagee's comments on a "great whore" is in agreement with Catholic ecclesiastical historian, Cardinal Baronius, the honored French Prelate (Bishop) Boussuet, and the sainted "Doctor of the Church," Cardinal Ballarmine, to name a few.

So when both Protestant and Catholic theologians teach the same thing, it's hardly fair to accuse the Protestant (in this case, Rev. Hagee) of some form of "anti-Catholic" hatred n simply because one's political campaign HOPES to add a new layer of divisiveness to presidential politics. Is this another desperate attempt to distract from Obama's 20 years of indoctrination in anti-American "liberation theology"?

Genuine Protestants and authentic Catholics will stand side by side to prevent the continuing barbaric slaughter of our own American children - shamelessly supported by the deviant anti-family policies of Barack Obama and his extreme liberal allies. -- Rev. Cary Gordon

" Which Church safeguarded and hand-copied the Holy Scriptures until the printing press was invented, for nearly 1500 years?

Are you saying the Scriptures were heretical for nearly three-fourths of Christian history, until the Prods got their hands on 'em and started 'editing' them? "

" No peggy, it came from the HOly Spirit. Although the catholics do have their own bible, that is one of their heresies. "

" John,

That Bible you're quoting from....came from the Catholic Church. "

" what a relief that Jesus built His church on a man that failed Him miserably in the next moments. If Jesus built His church on Peter instead of on Himself, wouldn't we belong to the "Body of Peter" instead of the "Body of Christ"? Sorry, Christ was the rock, Peter was a stone or pebble and there is no evidence Peter even entered Italy much less founded a Roman church as the first Pope. It is thought more that James was the leader, in the least he had equal authority with Peter at Jerusalem Gal. 2:1-10, Peter also called himself "a Fellow elder" in 1 Pet 5:1-9 . I'll light 2 candles "
