'Pro-choice' means 'pro-abortion'

SIOUX CITY -- This is in response to the Letter in Wednesday's Journal headlined "'Reckless charges' against Obama." Obama is a pro-choice candidate for president of the United States - pro-choice, therefore pro-abortion.

Although a pro-choicer says he is personally against killing babies in the womb, to leave the choice up to the woman makes him an abettor in that child's death.

With a Democratic Congress and a Democratic president, Planned Parenthood will be able to push its own agendas through both the White House and Congress. Laws against abortion that states have enacted will be struck down. Other laws advancing abortion will be enacted. New justices named to the Supreme Court will be pro-choicers/pro-abortionists. Planned Parenthood agendas will become prominent in foreign countries as our taxes are used to further abortion overseas.

With Democrats heading two branches, and possibly the third, a virtual dictatorship could result. Then if we have a president who has advocated "change" from the beginning of his candidacy, those changes could well be something that the American populace has never in their wildest days dreamed of. Nightmares, not dreams.

On Tuesday, voters need to consider the reality of their vote and make a reasoned choice rather than follow the hype of a media blaring the election of an unknown who talks but has not produced in a positive way. -- Imogene DeSmet
