'Paws 'N Claus' takes appointment now

SIOUX CITY -- The Siouxland Humane Society is taking appointments now for its annual "Paws 'N Claus" fundraiser which features professional photographs of Siouxland residents, their pets, their families and Santa.
The fundraiser will take place Nov. 18 through 23 in the old Movie Gallery building at the intersection of South Lakeport Street and Morningside Avenue (across the street from Walgreen's).
For $30, participants will receive three professional photographs, including the CD, which can be used for holiday cards or reprints. Sittings will feature a new background with a holiday theme. Photos can be taken with or without Santa.
Hours of the event will be 5:30 to 9 p.m. Nov. 18 through 21 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 22 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 23. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 252-2614, Ext. 7.
All pets must be on a leash or in a carrier and current with all vaccinations.
The fundraiser also will offer a wide variety of holiday pet items, including hand-dipped decorated dog biscuits, scarves and scrunchies, bowls and placemats, ornaments and animal toys.
Proceeds from "Paws 'N Claus" will go directly to the Siouxland Humane Society's operating budget to provide care for more than 3,300 homeless, neglected and abused animals each year.
