Next four years 'will be telling'

SIOUX CITY -- When Democrats finish exulting over their multi-tiered victory, they just may get a sinking feeling. They are now saddled with fixing the very housing and financial crisis that they precipitated, and having their man in the White House and large majorities in both houses of Congress, they have completely run out of targets for their finger-pointing if their efforts fail.
Democrats have conveniently forgotten that the last four years were marked not only by a Republican president, but also by a Democrat-controlled Congress. President Bush, for all of his failings, did not rule autonomously. He did not write the budgets or the laws, and the invasion of Iraq did not happen without the almost total support of Republican and Democratic legislators. The sub-prime lending fiasco, which may have triggered the largest American financial crisis since the Great Depression was insisted on by the left. This is their legacy, yet perhaps it's easier to blame one unpopular man than take responsibility for a majority's own failures.
The next four years will be telling. May we remember in 2012 who had the greatest control over all three branches of a "checked and balanced" federal government, evaluate whether that party helped or hindered, and vote accordingly. -- Mike Sawyer

All but a few in DC understand the problem.
All the hoopla about taxes, socialism, who got elected, and how to go about bailing out the economy simply does not matter as long America, as a subprime nation, does not stop living on borrowed foreign money.
Foreign money is what we are living on and they are accepting our fiat currency in return. It is only a matter of time before the US is not credit worthy.
Let me repeat that so everyone gets it Foreign money is what we are living on "

Peggy: The economy has made news...it is constantly making news...but guess what? The media actually has a very short attention span...so two weeks of coverage on the economy tanking is too much...and since huge gains and losses have become commonplace in the last month, it's no longer news. "

Joe Biden and Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm on his economic advisory team.
Joe Biden, has given less to charity over the last 10 years than most of the conservatives on this post. I can't speak for you socialist, because you are some tight wads. Hes been making upwards of $200k for 10 years and has zero net worth. Yeh, thats an economic advisor Id want.
Approx 2 million people have fled Michigan since Granholm became Gov. Her 2007 tax increases have been a dismal failure, Dumbocrats never learn. Now her plan for 2009 is to increase gas taxes another 9 cents per gallon and increase state income taxes another 2-3%. What a genius!!!
You socialist can be proud, Obama's not being shy about putting blatant tax and spend socialist around him. But fear not, you won't hear any scrutiny of these losers. Even Tim Chris Matthews of MSNBC is going to do everything he can to make sure Obama is a success, just like he did to get him elected.
haha ha ha ha...
Stop, it hurts already. "
