Family finds grenade in Iowa City home

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) -- Iowa City police say a family cleaning out a dead relative's home found something unexpected -- a hand grenade.
Lt. Doug Hart says an officer was called to the house Sunday afternoon after the family discovered the grenade.
Hart says the officer didn't know if it was real or fake, and the bomb squad was called.
Using a robot, the bomb squad grabbed the grenade and put it in a special container.
Hart says the bomb squad was going to handle it like it was real and get rid of it.
