IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) - A death investigation is under way at the home of a University of Iowa music professor named in a sexual harassment lawsuit.

Iowa City police were called to the home of Mark Weiger Wednesday afternoon.

Sgt. Troy Kelsay says officers were conducting a death investigation of an apparent suicide. He could not confirm Weiger was involved.

On Thursday, Sgt. Brian Krei (cry) said no additional information had been released, and he couldn't confirm who was dead.

University spokesman Steve Parrott on Thursday said he had heard reports, but couldn't confirm who was involved in the death.

A former Iowa student, Melissa Rose Walding Milligan, filed a sexual harassment suit against Weiger and the university last week.
