In support of Steve King

Posted: Friday, November 14, 2008
MOVILLE, Iowa -- The Journal's Bret Hayworth seems intent on pursuing a combination of factors to oust Steve King. Sorry, Bret, it isn't going to happen. The ton of conservative Republicans in this district are smart enough to see right through you. Bring on Warnstadt and Gronstal and we will take care of them, too.

I'm going to tell Hayworth something he has ignored. King runs a campaign the way it should be run. Has he read his ads? I think not. He doesn't bash or call his opponents names - a common practice among liberals. He tells you what he has done to serve his district and what he has in mind for the future. Not really complex when you see the truth in it.

In contrast, Rob Hubler called in Harkin and Bedell along with extra cash. A full-page ad in the Nov. 2 Journal said King voted against the G.I. Bill. Col. Bud Day (a real American) to the rescue. Day said the reason for King's "no" vote was that the bill was loaded with pork straight from the Pelosi-controlled House. -- Wes Roeschke

" King only tells you what you need to know. King voted for CAFTA to get hwy 20. But you can import ethanol through CAFTA with no import fees and bankrupt our plants. Health care for kids whose parents make more than 70,000-NO Thousands of dollars in subsidies for millionaire farmers-YES. "

" Just as the "bitter clingers" study their Bibles to learn about their Saviour so must we read and learn about ours! By all means, explain to me how the works of Farrakhan (who call Barack "The Saviour"), Ayers, Dohrn, Rev. Wright, and other Great Thinkers, all his chosen associates have not shaped the Great Leader's thinking.
Hail Obama!! "

" Jon, it has come to my attention that a Zogby poll (Disgustingly non-partisan) has found that 58% of our fellow Obama acolytes don't even know that our Democratnik Party currently controls Congress and don't even know the most basic facts about our Great Leader and his defeated adversaries. Therefore.. "

" Dick- the vast majority of your missives represent the shallow and feckless thinking of the "i'm above it all " self-righteous. Come up with some facts or original thoughts for a change. Trust me, the only place you are a legend is in your own mind. "

" I'm actually quite comfortable. Comparing Obama to David Duke is laughable, as are most of your comments. Perhaps the person who is uncomfortable is you.

I'm comfortable that I've elected a President not unlike other Presidents...human, not some kind of messiah, because that idea is just stupid. I find it amusing that you seem to believe that electing Obama is somehow the end of democracy. However, I would say the democratic process worked pretty well in this case.

Anyway, I'm not going to waste my time trying to convince you because you obviously won't be swayed, and I respect your views, I just don't appreciate the way you go about expressing them. Enjoy clogging the message boards and making them not worth reading. "
