Arraignment set for Lincoln man in mom's death

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -- A 19-year-old Lincoln man accused of killing his mother will be arraigned next month.
Matthew Fox is charged with first-degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony in the Oct. 25 death of his mother, Sherry Fox.
Police say she died of blunt force trauma to her head. Her body was found in the basement of her home. According to court records, authorities found a bloody ax and metal-tipped club at the scene.
Matthew Fox waived his right to a preliminary hearing on Monday in Lancaster County District Court. His arraignment is set for Dec. 3.
