Citizens Academy graduation tonight

SIOUX CITY -- Twenty-three people will graduate from the Sioux City Police Department's Citizens Academy tonight.
The ceremony will be begin at 7 p.m. at Bev's on the River. Former Mayor Craig Berenstein will give the keynote address. Berenstein graduated from Citizen Academy XI.
The participants in the 28th graduating class completed 11 weeks of training with police officers, where they learned many aspects of police work.
The Citizens Academy began in 1995 and has graduated about more than 620 community members. Fall and spring classes are held yearly.
The graduating members of Citizen Academy XXVIII are Alex Baker, Nancy Baker, Darrell Bullock, Judie M. Campbell, Rhonda Capron, Kelly Conolly, Lori Conway, Sheila Copple, Judson Garwood, David Gleiser, Terresa Greenleaf, Ryan Marx, Rhonda J. McCabe, Michelene Nissen, Leah Patton, Kristi Putnam, Jontemps Rhode, Corlee Scott, Cathy Shove, Randy Solomon, Shannon Spanel, Ronald Stusse and Nancy Treft.
