GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (AP) -- The Hall County attorney's office has filed paperwork to cease operations at a children's activity center it argues is being run like a child-care facility.
The petition for injunctive relief was filed Thursday against Christy Richardson, owner of Kidz Central. The facility features a large castle bouncer, a coin-operated arcade game, video games and basketball.
County officials say the center is operating like a day care without a state license outlining regulations.
Richardson has said she's working with the Grand Island Building Department to change the zoning permit for the center from retail to assembly space. She couldn't immediately be reached to comment.
