Beresford man killed in I-29 crash

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- A Beresford, S.D., man was killed Thursday in a one-vehicle rollover crash.
The crash happened at 11:15 p.m. on Interstate 29 near the Canton Exit.
The South Dakota Department of Public Safety said Friday that Geoffrey S. Merriman, 49, lost control of the Chevy Trailblazer he was driving. The vehicle left the road and entered the median where it rolled several times. Merriman was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the department of public safety.
The crash remains under investigation by the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
