Area county attorney leads state group

LE MARS, Iowa -- Plymouth County Attorney Darin Raymond is the new president of the Iowa County Attorneys Association. He was elected to a one-year term by his fellow county attorneys at the association's fall conference in West Des Moines earlier this month.
Raymond previously held the position of president elect, vice persident and secretary treasury on the association's board of directors. He also served on the group's legislative committee for many years, including chairman in 2008.
Additionally, he is the association's representative on the Iowa Domestic Violence Death Review Team, which he co-chaired from 2004 to 2006, and serves on the state's Criminal Justice Information Services Board.
Raymond has served as Plymouth County attorney since 1995.
