BIG RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) -- Authorities say a fugitive who served time for murder and is suspected of leading a group of teenage burglars has been captured, four days after escaping from a northern Michigan jail.
Police in the Detroit suburb of Romulus nabbed Jonathan Good, 36, about noon Sunday after he had contacted a relative, state police Sgt. Joe Cairnduff told the Detroit Free Press.
Good escaped Wednesday through a skylight at the Mecosta County Jail and fled, wearing a T-shirt, boxer shorts and rubber shoes.
He is suspected of being the ringleader of a group of teenage thieves implicated in a string of burglaries, a home invasion and a shooting.
State records show Good got out of prison after serving sentences for second-degree murder and armed robbery for crimes committed in 1988.
