DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- More snow is coming to Iowa.
For the second time this week, the state is seeing another round of winter. Two to 5 inches of snow was likely Wednesday as a storm system tracks across the region. Strong winds could create problems with blowing snow on the highways.
The National Weather Service says light snow moved into northwest Iowa before midnight and spread over much of the northwest half of the state before dawn.
A winter weather advisory was issued for much of central and eastern Iowa for Wednesday morning, and for southeast Iowa into the afternoon.
The first major winter storm of season hit Iowa last Sunday as many travelers were returning home after the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
