SIOUX CITY -- The Siouxland Master Chorale, under the direction of Gene Wagner, will present "The Word Incarnate," a concert of Christmas music at 3 p.m., Dec. 14, at the First United Methodist Church, 1915 Nebraska St., Sioux City.

The chorale will be assisted by organist DeeGee Blair, pianist Barb Votrobeck, and the First United Methodist Church bell choir.

The centerpiece of the concert will be K. Lee Scott's Christmas Cantata: The Incarnation, with text from a hymn by Charles Wesley, portions of Chapter 1 of the Gospel of John and poetry by Christina Rossetti and Timothy Dudley-Smith.

Another piece that Master Chorale will be singing is Morten Lauridsen's "O Nata Lux" from his larger work Lux Aeterna. Other music will include arrangements of familiar Christmas carols with an opportunity for audience "sing along."

Admission is $10 for adults and $7 for seniors and students. For further information contact chorale president Bill Jordt at 253-7866.
