15-year-old dies of injuries in Omaha shooting

OMAHA (AP) -- An Omaha teenager has died of his injuries after being shot a week earlier.
Omaha police say 15-year-old Eric Tongvanh died Wednesday. He had been in critical condition since being shot Dec. 10.
Officers responding to a call regarding a shooting in southeast Omaha found the youth suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to Creighton University Medical in critical condition.
Tongvanh was a freshman at Bryan High School. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact Omaha police.
