OMAHA (AP) -- Federal prosecutors have unsealed the indictment of an Omaha man who they say transported girls as young as 14 across state lines into Iowa and other states for prostitution.
The indictment alleges 28-year-old Amar Henderson worked as a pimp, advertised the services of underage girls on the Internet and took them or paid to send them to other states including Florida, Colorado, Missouri as well as Iowa. The activity occurred in April and July 2007 and May 2008.
The indictment also alleges Henderson beat the young women who worked for him and took money they earned.
If convicted on the three counts, Henderson faces 10 years to life in prison.
