SIOUX CITY -- Fourth Street at the railroad crossing between Lewis Boulevard and Pavonia Street will be closed Nov. 9--19.
The Engineering Division of the Public Works Department said in a statement that the closure is necessary for the installation of gate arms and other crossing equipment. New foundations will be poured to support the new gate arm footings. As the concrete cures, no thru traffic will be allowed on Fourth Street due to the unprotected nature of the crossing.
Motorists are advised to be aware of the closure and seek an alternate route.
