SIOUX CITY -- Pet owners are invited to sign up to have their picture taken with their pets and Santa during the Siouxland Humane Society's annual Paws 'N Claws event.
Photos will be taken Nov. 17-22 at the former Hancock fabric store in the Marketplace Shopping Centre, 29th Street and Hamilton Boulevard. The building is near Harold's Photo Center.
Hours will be 5:30 to 9 p.m. Nov. 17-20, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 21 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 22. Appointments are required; call 712-252-2614, ext. 7.
Pictures may be taken with or without Santa., and owners are asked to wear clothes that contrast with the color of their pet's coat.
All pets must be on a leash or in a carrier and have current vaccinations.
Cost is $30. The humane society will provide three photographs, including a CD that can be used to reprint the photos for Christmas cards.
Raffle tickets for a quilt and pet baskets as well as holiday pet items will be for sale.
