BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) - It's kickoff weekend for the National Football League, and Brookings-based Daktronics has a couple of new scoreboard and video systems making their debuts this season.
The Kansas City Chiefs' upgraded Arrowhead Stadium still features oval-shaped scoreboards above the end zones, but they're now high-definition and fully digital, thanks to new equipment from Daktronics.
The St. Louis Rams replaced the existing video displays at the Edward Jones Dome with two super-wide high-definition end-zone video boards from Daktronics. The dome also now features nearly 1,000 linear feet of LED ribbon board on the inside fascia of the seating bowl.
The Pittsburgh Steelers also upgraded their Daktronics system this fall with two additional LED ribbon boards and a digital marquee outside Heinz Field.
