DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - A Des Moines teenager has been stabbed as he walked with a friend near a local middle school.

Police say that 17-year-old Aaron Fields told officers that he and a friend were walking near Harding Middle School Saturday night when a group of 3 or four males approached him and his friend and began yelling at them.

Police say 1 of the suspects then stabbed Fields in the left armpit with a knife.

A friend of Fields to a hospital for treatment of his injury.

Police say Fields could not give any detailed information about the suspects.
