SALIX, Iowa (AP) - The search for a Nebraska man who was ejected from a boat on the Missouri River is expected to resume Monday.
Bruce Wright and Oscar Gomez, both of South Sioux City, Neb., were thrown from a boat operated by Samuel Gomez about a mile north of Salix, Iowa.
Oscar Gomez sustained injuries to his right leg and left hip and was airlifted Saturday night to Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.
The U.S. Coast Guard, several Iowa Department of Natural Resources boats and a number of volunteers searched the river Sunday in an attempt to locate Wright. The search was later suspended because of darkness.
Samuel Gomez, of Jackson, Neb. has been charged with boating while intoxicated.
