FORT DODGE, Iowa (AP) - A former president of Iowa Central Community College who resigned over a photo of him pouring beer into a young woman's mouth has found a new job.
Bob Paxton will serve as president of the National American University's distance learning campus in Rapid City, S.D.
Ronald Shape, chief operating officer of National American University, cited Paxton's educational experience in the decision to hire him.
Paxton resigned from the Fort Dodge school in August after the photo of him on a boat at Lake Okoboji appeared in the media. Paxton received a severance package of $400,000, plus continued health benefits for himself and his family until age 65.
Iowa Central officials say Paxton's new job won't affect the severance package.
