which is designed to increase interest and involvement among youths
ages 14 to 18.

in 36 counties, working more than 1,580 hours. All will receive a
recognition certificate from Secretary of State John Gale, and ten
were awarded a $50 savings bond. The winners were picked in
geographical drawings.
The number of participants for the 2008 general election was a record for the program, which started in the November 2004 general election. It operates for the statewide primary and general elections every two years.
