ONAWA, Iowa -- A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with several graffiti incidents in downtown Onawa.
The Monona County Sheriff's Office said in a statement released Thursday that Steven Docken, of Onawa, is charged with second-degree criminal mischief, a class D felony, involving multiple acts of damaging and defacing property; and manufacturing marijuana while being in possession of a firearm within 1,000 feet of a public school, also a class D felony.
According to the statement, Onawa police executed a search warrant Wednesday at Docken's residence, 1310 Ninth St., where they seized numerous cans of spray paint, ink markers, graffiti stencils, graffiti drawings and multiple marijuana plants and marijuana growing items.
Docken is currently being held at the Monona County Jail. As of Thursday the sheriff's office said he had not yet seen a judge and his bond had not yet been set.
