Western Iowa Tech Community College and the University of Iowa have signed an agreement enabling WIT graduates to earn an Iowa bachelor's degree at the Sioux City campus.
The signing formalized an agreement reached earlier this year, WIT President Robert Dunker said in a press release.
The agreement allows WIT graduates who earn a two-year associate degree to complete Iowa degree programs, including bachelor of liberal studies, bachelor of applied science and baccalaureate in nursing. Iowa President Sally Mason said she was pleased the Iowa City-based institution can serve Northwest Iowans.
Said Dunker, "WIT has always been the 'best place to start,' and now it offers the chance to pass the finish line with a Hawkeye bachelor's degree."
