Two-time Emmy Award-winning actress Patricia Heaton will be the featured speaker at next year's United Way of Siouxland's Women's Power Lunch.

Heaton is perhaps best known for her roles in the TV series "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "The Middle."

The power lunch, approaching its 10th anniversary, is set for 11:30 a.m. April 22 at the Marina Center, South Sioux City. The luncheon will be proceeded by a VIP Reception where guests may meet Heaton and have a photo taken with her. The event concludes at 1:30 p.m. with the third annual Power of the Purse raffle drawing.

United Way of Siouxland's Women's Power Lunch began in 2001 to focus attention on and raise funds for issues that affect Siouxland women, such as cancer and heart disease. The event, in partnership with the Waitt Foundation, also finances scholarships for single parents and transitioning homemakers.

Cost is $50 for the luncheon, with an additional $75 to attend the reception. Table sponsorships for $500, $1,250 and $5,000 also are available, and raffle donations are being accepted.
