HARTINGTON, Neb. -- Running back Chad Koch rushed for 263 yards and scored four touchdowns to lead fourth-ranked Hartington Cedar Catholic to a 48-0 win over No.10 Creighton in a Class C2 quarterfinal football playoff game Tuesday.
Koch has now carried for 2,216 yards and 34 touchdown but teammates were responsible for the first two Trojan scores. Eric Becker got HCC on the scoreboard with 6:48 left in the first quarter and Justin Leise connected with Kevin Wentz for a 23-yard touchdown pass early in the second quarter.
Cedar Catholic (9-2) will host Cambridge in a semifinal matchup next Tuesday. Cambridge (8-3) advanced with a 37-14 win over Sutherland.
