SIOUX CITY -- Sioux City Musketeers forward Stephan Vigier, who scored four goals in three victories last week, has been named the United States Hockey League's offensive player of the week.
Vigier, a 5-9, 160-pound, second-year Musketeer from Notre Dame, Manitoba, Canada, scored the first goal of the game in a 4-3 shootout win over Sioux Falls, then tallied two goals in a 3-1 win over Cedar Rapids. He also had a goal and an assist in a 4-2 win over Youngstown.
Vigier, who had a plus-three rating last week, helped the Musketeers extend their winning streak to five games with two goals in Tuesday night's 5-4 shootout victory over Tri-City. He entered Thursday night's game at Sioux Falls with 10 goals and five assists.
Vigier is the second Musketeer who has won a player of the week honor this season.
C.J. Ludwig of Omaha was named the USHL's defensive player of the week while the goaltender honor went to Indiana's Cab Morris.
