OMAHA -- Winning goalkeeper Garrett Van Buskirk stopped all 19 shots he faced Thursday night as the Sioux City Metros picked up their third consecutive victory, 2-0 over the Omaha Energy in Midwest High School Hockey League action.

Sioux City raised its season record to 4-4. Van Buskirk posted his second shutout of the season, all which have happened in the last three games.

The Metros were blanked by Omaha goalie Alejandro Anderson in the first two periods. Colton Kramer, the Metros' leading scorer with 14 points (6 goals, 8 assists) scored 43 seconds into the third frame and added another goal later in the period.

Kramer has scored at least one point in all but one of the Metros' games this season.

Eric Flynn, second on the team with eight points (3 goals, 5 assists), assisted on both goals.

Omaha won the junior varsity game, 3-2. Sioux City (2-6) got goals from Dylan Dwyer and Ben Holzrichter. Losing goalkeeper Tyler Brinkerhoff had 33 saves.

Sioux City will host the Des Moines Oak Leafs Saturday at the IBP Ice Center. The varsity game will start at 3:15 p.m. and the JV will follow at 5:15.
