JEFFERSON, S.D. - Throughout the racing season, Park Jefferson Speedway will host "Hot City Nights," which features free admission to individuals living in selected communities. Fans living in the particular "Hot City" will be admitted free of charge with proof of residency.
The cities of Onawa, Salix, Whiting and Sloan are this week's "Hot Cities." Residents of those cities will be admitted free for Saturday night's racing program at Park Jefferson.
Mopar will be the official sponsor of Saturday night's program. Gates open at 6 p.m. and racing gets under way at 7:30. Also on tap for Saturday are 2-person cruiser races.
Park Jefferson recently rejoined the NASCAR family of home tracks. The cars are faster, reaching speeds of over 100 miles per hour, and the racing is extremely competitive.
